Talk through the area, its condition and the finish you have in mind. James checks the concrete and discusses the right approach before preparing your quote.

Prepare the Concrete
The surface is prepared and suitable cracks or imperfections are repaired before coating. Existing coatings and moisture concerns are assessed so the new finish has the right foundation.

Build Up the Finish
The selected coating system is applied, including decorative flakes or texture where specified. The layers and finish are matched to the project.

Allow Time to Cure
Installation and ready-for-use times aren’t the same thing. James will confirm when you can walk on the floor, move items back and return vehicles to the space.

What is an epoxy floor, and what are the flakes?
Epoxy is a resin-and-hardener coating applied over prepared concrete. Decorative flakes add the speckled colour and texture you see in many finished floors. The complete coating system and finish are selected for the area; a photo alone doesn’t tell you which system is right for your concrete.
Can you coat my driveway or patio?
Allsorts works on outdoor areas as well as internal floors. Outdoor exposure, the concrete’s condition and how you use the area determine the suitable coating system and texture. Include these details in your enquiry so James can advise.
Do you work with businesses as well as homeowners?
Yes. Enquiries are welcome for workshops and commercial spaces alongside residential garages, sheds, driveways and patios. Let us know what happens on the floor day to day, including vehicles, equipment, spills and cleaning.
How much will it cost?
Your quote depends on the area, preparation and repairs needed, and the system and finish selected. Share your project details to arrange a free quote tailored to the space.
Can you work with cracked or worn concrete?
Minor damage may be repairable before coating, but the slab needs to be assessed first. Existing movement, moisture and old coatings can affect the preparation and whether the proposed system is suitable.
Will the floor be slippery?
Grip requirements vary with the space and whether it gets wet. Texture and grip additives can be discussed as part of the coating specification. No floor should be treated as slip-proof.
How long will my space be out of use?
That depends on the preparation, system, conditions and the size of the job. We’ll confirm the schedule and the curing time for foot traffic and vehicles before work begins, so you can plan around it.
